I am a National Certified Master Groomer with 34 years of experience.
I began my career by completing the Canine Studies Program at Mohawk College in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The curriculum included courses on Anatomy, Parasitology, Kinesiology, and Genetics, as well as work placements in veterinary clinics, the Humane Society, private breeding kennels and a grooming salon.
After graduating, I apprenticed with a professional groomer, breeder and conformation dog show judge.
I went on to perfect my skills by attending numerous dog shows and breed seminars and became a Certified Master Groomer in 1992.
Soon thereafter, I opened a pet grooming studio in Ottawa; “i>Brenda’s Clipping and Grooming” in my Westboro home where I operated for 13 years.
In 2005, I relocated to Cumberland (East of Orleans, West of rockland) to realize my lifelong dream of owning a hobby farm and opened Brenda’s Country Clips.
Megan is a graduate of the Veterinary Assistant Program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario where she learned about the day-to-day operations of a veterinary clinic, completed a dog grooming course and did a placement at the Humane Society.
Taylor has grown up with dog grooming from an early age.
Isabelle is the newest addition to Brenda’s Country Clips.
Not only do we bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to the grooming table, we treat every dog as we treat our own.
